Craig is super to deal with, knowledgeable and efficient. So glad we were able to add motorized shades to our home, and now thanks to Craig's patience we also have a hub and powerview control with our iPhones and iPad.

Meet the Boston Window Coverings Design Team
Craig Hamner is the owner of The Louver Shop of Boston. According to Craig, The Louver Shop is unique for several reasons. Craig says, “We have quick timelines, many customer options, the best warranty in the industry, and an excellent price point. What also sets us apart from our competition is that our products are made in the U.S.A. Nobody touches me – I have the best offering there is!”
Craig is originally from Texas and graduated from Texas State University. He moved to the Boston area and became part of The Louver Shop team almost four years ago. Craig explains, “My mother had someone from The Louver Shop come out to her house in North Texas and I got to talking with the rep. He felt that I would be a great fit. So, I flew to Georgia and interviewed with the owner of the original Louver Shop. He offered an opportunity to open a dealership in the Boston area and here I am!”
Craig’s background is in construction and estate management so he has dealt with people in their homes for more than fourteen years prior to starting with The Louver Shop. “I’ve done all sorts of remodeling, additions, and renovations in condos and all the way up to multi-million dollar homes, so it has been a natural transition,” states Craig. “My favorite thing about working with The Louver Shop is making people happy. There are all kinds of different people in this world and I have fun on a daily basis getting to meet a lot of them.” Craig goes on to say, “My goal is to always over deliver on my customers’ expectations. I want them to be blown away and the final result much better than they hoped for!’
Craig states that his most popular product in the Boston area is plantation shutters. “That’s about 65% to 70% of my business. They fit well with our style of architecture because we have a lot of coastal towns and they are great for our cold winters. The rest of my business is probably Hunter Douglas shades and blinds. They give a clean classic look to any home.”
Craig has really enjoyed the Boston area since relocating from Texas. “I get to see so many really cool places while I’m out driving every day,” he says. “I travel all around Boston and all over New England from Newport, Rhode Island to Plymouth Rock. I see so much history and culture. It’s really interesting to get to see where American history started.”
When Craig is not working, he spends most of his time with his family. “We love the New England history as well as its scenery,” he asserts. “We also really enjoy spending time together on one of the many beaches all around us.’
Craig has been recognized in many ways over his years in the construction industry, including being featured in an Austin, TX newspaper for his ethics and professionalism. However, Craig says that his true reward is getting a referral. “Every single person I’ve ever worked with will either use me again or recommend me to someone else. I’m very proud of that. That means so much more than an award or plaque!”
