Delivery took longer than expected, but I love my shutters. I will say Daniel was wonderful. He was running late due to traffic but called me right away to let me know. We did like them enough to order another set for another window

Meet the Knoxville Window Coverings Design Team
Pat Pierce is the proud owner of The Louver Shop of Knoxville and has over thirty years of experience in the window covering industry. Pat says that what really sets The Louver Shop apart from its competition is “the expertise offered and the ability to individually tailor each project to a specific situation and/or application. The Louver Shop is not a ‘one size fits all’ application,” Pat explains.
Pat grew up in the Knoxville area and attended the University of Tennessee where he earned a degree in secondary education. Pat was teaching math and science when he was approached by a family friend who also happened to be the founder of the original Louver Shop in Atlanta. Pat thought that starting his own dealership with The Louver Shop in Knoxville sounded like a great opportunity to better support his family so he transitioned from teaching to become one of the first 3 markets. He has never looked back. Pat says that what he really likes about working for The Louver Shop is meeting a wide variety of folks and helping them. “I’m not a behind the desk kind of person,” he states. “I get to be out meeting all sorts of people and learning their stories and I really enjoy it.”
Pat says that his goal is to “always do what is best for my customers. I’m not there to sell them my vision. I’m there to really listen to them so that I can help them achieve what they want. I give them my expertise and guidance but it is all about their satisfaction.”
According to Pat, Plantation Shutters are his most popular product. “Shutters have always been number 1,” he says. “We have added many other products over the years but we started with shutters. As a result, we can help our customers with shutters better than anyone else in the business because we really know what we are doing.” Pat continues, “I have noticed that motorization has been growing in popularity with my customers and that they are taking advantage of the technological advances in shading more and more.”
Pat states that what he likes best about the Knoxville area is the people. “They are so friendly,” he says. “When you are walking down the street they will look you in the eye and say hello. People who are new to this area always notice that. There’s a real family feel.” Pat also really likes the variety in the terrain. “There’s lots of greenery and we have hills, lakes, mountains and four distinct seasons.”
Pat stays very active in the community through involvement with his church. “We like to do things that help those in the community who need it – like serving meals at the holidays or working with the homeless,” Pat explains. Pat and his wife also enjoy sporting activities, jogging, and generally just being outdoors. “We also love to read a lot,” he says.
Pat has had many achievements throughout his years with The Louver Shop including being a member of the President’s Club every year since it was started. However, he says that what is really rewarding is how he has been able to combine work and family. “My son is part of the business as well. He’s basically grown up with The Louver Shop.” Pat also goes on to say, “The other thing that is truly rewarding is my happy customers. Most of my business comes from the referrals of satisfied clients and that is what is really meaningful to me.”
